A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a mistake. The drawback of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk messages, but this problem can be rectified using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it’s very simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without any difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small icon handily located directly next to each one of them. With just a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature through the contextual menu that will surface. In case any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
