.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific stipulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
